Setup Schedule

Shift Scheduling is the process of planning and organizing time dedicated to tasks, work, and activities within a specified period. The goal of this is to manage time effectively, ensure that work is completed on time, and maintain a balance between work and personal life. Once you have filled in the necessary information about the shift and set it up, you can proceed to schedule work shifts for employees. There are two types of shifts in the system: Fixed Shifts: These shifts have a consistent schedule each week, such as administrative shifts. You will mark the shift's operating time from Monday to Saturday (for example, if your company only works half a day on Saturday, you will create a separate shift for Saturday and set it to 0.5). These shifts will repeat weekly over the course of a month. Non-Fixed Shifts: These shifts have flexible operating times based on the employees' work schedules, typically for part-time workers, contractors, etc. Non-fixed shifts do not follow a consistent weekly pattern; employees register their shifts or are scheduled by the manager. In this case, you do not need to mark the shift's operating time, and you will arrange the shifts afterward.

Q&A:

Question 1: Why is scheduling work important?
Answer: Scheduling work is important because it helps you manage time effectively, ensuring that you complete tasks on time and maintain a balance between work and personal life. Having a clear work schedule allows you to prioritize important tasks, reduce stress, and increase productivity.

Question 2: On Tanca, if I don't set up a work schedule, can employees clock in at any time?
Answer: Employees can clock in at any time. However, it is necessary to create work shifts so that the system can use the shift times to determine how many shifts or hours the employee has worked.

Question 3: How can you determine the tasks to be performed in a workday?
Answer: To determine the tasks to be performed, start by listing all the tasks and goals you need to accomplish. Then, evaluate the importance and urgency of each task. Use methods like the Eisenhower Matrix to categorize and prioritize tasks, focusing on the most important and urgent ones first.
